It was really challenging because I had to detach from my business and social media and everything that I feel like I’ve worked towards and come to peace with the fact that non-linear growth is just a part of the process. … And that I am maybe not working toward the growth of my business right now, but I think that the job of growing and creating life in my body is pretty damn important. So it’s coming to peace with right now this is my job.

I’m still working on things behind the scenes, but it’s not necessarily driven by me being like “I have to do this thing now.” And it’s felt more aligned than ever before. So I’m like, “cool this is actually a really fun way of doing business.” Just making myself available and assessing whether or not I have the energy of doing whatever is being presented to me.
— Alex Cantone
It hasn’t been this focus on business — despite me investing in a business coach for the year. Ironically it’s been more focused on love and support. And maybe that’s the pearl — letting myself be supported rather than feeling like all of this stuff that I have built has to be the one single sole thing that supports me and is my foundation. My foundation can be my people and my partner and my child and these other identities and roles that I play in the world. The business can be moreso the icing on the cake rather than the pedestal it sits on.

What brought me here in the first place? And what was I showing up and talking about and doing before making a dollar was even on my radar?
— Alex Cantone
When I just let things happen and allow whatever is meant for me to happen, then the coolest invitations come. And I never would’ve been able to see that if I was so busy going back to the whiteboard of my one-year, three-year, five-year timeline every single day.
— Alex Cantone
There’s so much that people can stop doing today, right now, that is burning them out and is not contributing to anything in their life other than burnout. It’s not worth it.
— Michelle Pellizzon
I think we make a lot of sacrifices, not compromises when it comes to making money because of programming, a scarcity mindset, and just not knowing when our next thing will come. And that’s just a trust muscle and a flexing your intuition muscle.
